Profit Share is the concept that every month, owners of Keller Williams offices share roughly half of their earned profits for the month with the associates who helped the office grow.
In 1986, Gary Keller and his first Associate Leadership Council (ALC) convened to reinvent the company and create one that no one ever want to leave. They developed the concept of profit share, which provides the opportunity for risk-free wealth building opportunities for all associates.
It was chosen to ensure that each business would be profitable and sustainable - it isn't about greed or complicating the process - it is about demonstrating profitability and sharing it with associates.
It motivates all associates to work together towards growth - it encourages success through others and building the company together. Profit share ensures success in the present, but also the future. It is part of the legacy our associates build for their future.
Every associate at Keller Williams Chesterfield has a cap on what they pay to the market center from their commissions. This cap rolls over every 12 months, with the beginning month determined when the associate joins the office.
A cap for an associate can be reduced by a certain amount when they help another producing (capping) agent join the market center. Each agent who joins within a 12mo period can help reduce an associates cap, all the way down to ZERO. *

All KWRC associates are eligible to reduce their cap by sharing the value of the office and bringing on agents from other offices. There are requirements (as defined by the Market Center Administrator) as to how much a cap can be reduced based on the level of production of the joining associate.
Agents are encouraged to take ownership of their business, or even businesses. If an agent is interested in investment opportunities, there are a host of organizations, teams, and resources at their disposal to help grow their income through investment opportunities.
Associates are encouraged to expand their thinking and with it, their opportunities. Our office holds a joint-venture in-house title company (disclosed to all clients via an affiliated business disclosure) that pays agents dividends. There are other opportunities as our office continues to grow in which we encourage participation & partnerships with our agents.
Training & coaching build the foundation for who Keller Williams is as a company, and how we help our associates thrive. There are a variety of opportunities within the organization that allow agents to become coaches and mentors, including in our world-famous MAPs program, BOLD, and more!
